Illegal Alien Misinformation

I got into a debate with a couple of democrats about illegal immigration. I learned so much from them, none of which was good for democrats. When I told one of them that members of the caravan were applying for asylum, the guy thought I was lying. I linked to a New York Times article(what I consider a leftist source) that verified everything I had said. The man was surprised by what he had read. He told me he had never seen any of that information, which pretty accurately detailed how many caravans there were and how many people made up those caravans. He told me the New York Times wasn't a progressive source so he would have some doubts about the information.

The topic turned to how illegal aliens were working and paying taxes. Some do pay taxes, but not in the numbers people think. One of the men supplied a link to a Vox article. As you might expect, it was a fluff piece describing the plight of poor immigrants and bragging about how much they pay in taxes. What the article also did was provide some numbers that backed up what I was saying about illegal aliens stealing Social Security numbers.

Civil War Truths

The subject of the Civil War is brought up a lot, but we rarely hear true facts. The name itself is a misconception, there was never a civil war. A civil war means a war within a country. In truth, this was a war between a union of states within the United States and the Confederate States of America. The southern states of the United States of America seceded and formed their own country. They even had their own currency and was trading with foreign countries.

Those who don't know true history might be wondering what I meant by a union of states. When the US government became upset over the secession of states, they decided on going to war. There were several states that refused to go to war against the the confederacy because they believed in the right of secession. Those states are referred to as border states and that's why it was a union of states that invaded the Confederate States of America. Lincoln did the same thing to the CSA that the British did to the USA when the colonies declared independence.

“Left” and “Right” Confusion

We keep hearing the terms “left” and “right”. I doubt most people even know where those terms came from when applied to political ideology. The terms “left” and “right” wing are based on the seating arrangements in the French National Assembly, which directly preceded the French Revolution. Some believe those terms represent certain beliefs, and they did in the beginning. The aristocracy sat on the right side of the Speaker, which was traditionally the seat of honor, and the commoners sat on the left. This gave birth to the terms “right-wing” and “left-wing” politics. The left had been called “the party of movement” and the right, “the party of order.”

Climate Hypocrisy

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez framed her chosen climate policy—the Green New Deal. Since she first mentioned the phrase, leftists have been cheering her plan, even though no one has a clue what the Green New Deal entails. One of the main things the deal proclaims to do is to create new green jobs. As of this writing, nationwide unemployment is 3.7 Percent. These democrats say they will create new jobs installing solar panels made in the world's largest polluting country, China. Where will they find all this new labor?

The Paris Accord that democrats are upset the USA pulled out of, gave China a pass on carbon emissions. These democrats want to use solar panels made in China, which is buying all the coal the USA can produce for their dirty power plants. I have not heard one thing the Green New Deal will do to reduce carbon emissions in countries such as China. It seems to only expand China's pollution.

This is more than about energy, it's a power grab. Ocasio-Cortez suggested the federal government should nationalize Tesla’s technology because of the company’s receipt of tax subsidies. Ocasio-Cortez said:
