The Democratic Party Cult

I've written before about how people blindly follow an ideology until they become cult-like. This is the case with the left and right, but today we have seen the left become even more like a cult. During the 2018 election we saw some far left people elected. The day after the election we began seeing them chanting about a Green New Deal. I'm not sure yet exactly what that means, but the name suggests something that gives government incredible control over our lives.

The first thing mentioned is a carbon tax. The far left always leads with a tax. We know that taxing energy increases the price of everything in the country. These new elected people talk about helping the poor and working class people, yet their first action is one that only does harm to those they claim to help.

Hypocritical Leftist Feminism

For centuries women were made to cover their bodies. From the 1400's to the 1940's it was shameful for a woman in America and much of the world to show her ankles. In the 1950's, women became bold and began to show their ankles, but even then if she showed her knees she was called a slut.

In the 1960's, women began to stand up to the the patriarchy and began wearing miniskirts and two piece swimsuits. This drove conservatives insane, not just right wing conservatives, but conservatives of all political ideologies. These are the types of things feminists fought for in the 60's and 70's.

Have you seen Catholic nuns in traditional habits? Their head and body must be covered at all times. They didn't look a lot different from the traditional Muslim dress codes of today for women. Feminists fought to free nuns from the religious restraints of their clothing. Eventually, this fight brought about the modified habit we seen nuns of today wearing.

America's Addiction To Drugs

Over the years we have heard many politicians talk about drug addiction in America. President Trump brought it to light even more when he singled out opiods and how they are being over prescribed by doctors. We are rarely told that the majority of addicts use prescription drugs. That doesn't always mean they got the drug using a doctor's prescription, but we find too often it was the legal use that led to illegal use.

Everyday we hear about the battle to legalize cannabis , one of the least harmful drugs, but it does have it's down side such as paranoia and forgetfulness. Even with the negatives, marijuana is likely much safer than alcohol. Unlike opiods, marijuana hasn't been found to be addictive, at least physically. People can become psychologically addicted to almost anything, whether it be drugs, exercise, or food.
