For the past 100 years the progressive movement has pushed and clawed
its way into control of the Unites States. Franklin D. Roosevelt
brought the progressive movement into prominence. His progressive
polices catapulted the United States into the worst economic period in
history. While the rest of the world experienced a recession, or even a
depression, only in the USA is it known as the Great Depression.
During the period known as the Great Depression, the USA witnessed the largest expansion of government in history. FDR perpetuated the depression so that he could push a progressive agenda. People looked upon FDR as if he was a savior when he began the jobs programs. Those people built parks, bridges and roads. While those things aren’t bad, they did little to provide permanent work.
It was only after World War II that the depression ended. For the next twenty years the USA saw prosperity never before experienced. That prosperity was kick-started by a drastic cut in taxes. Taxes needed to fund the war had been pushed even higher than the progressive tax of FDR. The war taxes were just, but the reduction of those taxes are what propelled us into the roaring 50’s, just as the reduction of taxes propelled the nation into the roaring 20’s.
FDR and Obama practice the same economic idealism, which is Keynesian economics. They both believe that when there is a recession, you raise taxes and flood the economy with monopoly money in order to stimulate the economy. It’s obvious to most, at this point, that Keynesian economics doesn’t work. They both believed that a massive central government was a cure-all, when in fact, all it does is deprive people of individual rights.
Now that you have an idea what a progressive is, you need to realize that progressives, socialists, Marxists, and communists seek the same end, which is to create a Utopia. We know from history that all of the socialist governments have ended the same way, and that’s with a dystopia.
This leads me to the purpose of the list below. These are sponsoring groups of the One Nation Coming Together Rally that was held in Washington DC on 10-2-2010. They promoted themselves as the TEA antidote. Take a look at the list of sponsoring organization and see if there are any to which you might have given contributions. Be careful to whom you donate. Even the seemingly innocuous AARP is a leftist organization. Is your church walking hand in hand with Planned Parenthood? Is this something in which you would support?
This country is closer than it’s ever been to a great divide. We can go down the road of the Soviet Union, or we can return to what our founders envisioned. Be vigilant to whom you donate. You may unknowingly be funding causes in which you vehemently disagree.
