Is The Political Left Evil?

Those of us that follow the political world tend to find any position other than our own evil. So I ask, is the left evil? The clear answer is no. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t evil within all ideologies. I find most of the people have a good heart. They care about others. They worry about those without housing, food, and health-care. Those are not bad things.

What the left often gets wrong about the right; is that we worry about the same things. It’s only how we wish to solve these problems that differs. We on the right believe that the poor are best severed when the rest prosper. Through the free-market system we have made the American poor some of the richest people in the world.

Those on the left run around shouting that the rich need to pay more. If we confiscated the wealth of anyone possessing more than a million dollars, we couldn’t even pay off the current national debt.

I wonder how many people on the left would be willing to give up the simplest things so that the poor around the world could eat properly. If people were told that giving up cell phones would end world hunger and poverty, would they? I dare say they wouldn’t.

On the other hand, are the people on the right greedy? Sure, maybe some, but most humans are. What makes people on the political right different is they are realist. We know that confiscating wealth will do little to solve all the problems the left holds dear. Since the 50’s we have each year put more and more money into education, yet test scores continue to drop.

What is evil, are the power mongers that will use the good hearts of the people on the left to further political ambitions. For decades those in power on the left have been promising black Americans prosperity, yet it has never come. The best those of us on the right can promise anyone is equality.

Warren Buffet and the Death Tax

Warren Buffet and the Democrats tell us they need to take property from the greedy rich people when they die. The Democrats have decided that you don’t deserve any money or property in which you didn’t earn. They decided the government has the right to redistribute that wealth

On the surface, all this might sound good to those who believe in wealth redistribution. Once you begin to dig into estate taxes, things may not be what you believed. Warren Buffet pushes hard for the estate tax. There is a good reason he does this, and it’s not that he has a kind and giving heart. The very wealthy have a way around these estate taxes. They put money into huge insurance policies worth millions. Insurance money isn’t taxable through the estate or income tax.

Warren Buffet coincidentally owns many of these insurance companies. As long as there is a death tax he is able to sell these massive policies, which without an estate tax they wouldn’t be needed.

Obama Shrugged: The Searches

Jane walked out of the department store and handed the package to Melissa. The young girl eagerly took the package since it held her new sweater. The girl had always wanted a sweater, but since Obama placed tariffs on imported knit products, they were in short supply and rationed. When you did have the opportunity to buy knit products, they were priced out of reach for the average citizen. Melissa pointed at the crowd ahead and asked, “What’s those people doing mommy?”

“I’m not sure honey,” replied Jane.

The mother and child closed in and there was a man with a police officer twisting an arm behind his back. The officer said authoritatively, “You go into the body scanner willingly, or I take you to the van and remove your clothes where we check you for weapons.”

A moment later the officer shoved the cursing man into a black van. Usually people stepped into the scanners without instance, but there were still people unhappy with the law. Just as the crowd cleared and Jane started to walk past the scanning station, a police officer said, “Ma’am, would you please step inside the scanner?”

Why Does Congress Not Read The Bills?

The Democrats roll out a 2000 page $1.1 trillion spending bill and tried to ram it through congress. They have no idea who wrote the bill; what’s worse, they don’t care. The people stood up and screamed when the Democrats did the same thing with the 2400 page health-care bill. It would take a team of lawyers a week to just read these bills.

We now know the health-care bill had been written years ago by the left wing Apollo Foundation to which Soros gives millions. Are we ever told by congress who writes the bills? Do they expect Americans to be so gullible as to believe these bills were written that month? The Democrats have now been in power for four years. They have taken all this time to write, amend, or edit bills written by any number of organizations, and then waited for the waning days of the lame-duck congress in which to ram these bills through. The Democrats wanted to be sure no one else had the time to read these bills.

Oil Drilling Ban: The Destruction of America

Today President Obama announced through the Secretary of the Interior that he has placed a seven year moratorium on new drilling in the eastern gulf, as well as a five year ban on Atlantic drilling. After the BP platform accident Obama placed a six months moratorium on gulf drilling.

Those on the right have been telling us from the beginning that the ban on drilling was never lifted. We had the leftwing media telling us the gulf ban only applied to deep water drilling. We know now that we were right and that the lame stream media was lying to the people. The ban after the BP accident applied to all new drilling and was never lifted.

We are at a time when every politician and individual in the country is calling for energy independence, yet we have a government that is banning oil drilling. The federal government recently took control of millions of acres of land in Utah and Alaska that could have been set aside for new sources of oil, while at the same time we import oil from our enemies at record rates. This is the same government that sent $3 billion to Petrobas to help explore drilling off the coast of Brazil. Do I need to mention that George Soros owns 3 percent of the mostly state owned Petrobras? Petrobras is the lone operator of all oil fields in Brazil.

Wikileaks: Accident, Plan, or Ineptitude?

We now have Wiki Leaks telling us they are going to release private State Department communications. The website is already filled with 350mb of supposed sensitive military material. This tells me we have a serious problem within our government.

We have the TSA controversy with body scanners filling the news. Our government assures us that these images cannot be saved or transmitted. We are already seeing images appear on Gizmodo. Time and time again the government reassures us that something is safe, only later to find that we had been swept up into a false sense of security. The only way we can assure privacy is to take it into our own hands. This applies as well to our medical records. Once we let the federal government place them in some central database, we no longer have control.

The Perfect Candidate

Obama was the perfect Manchurian candidate. He was black, so anyone that offered opposition was immediately labeled racist. Obama was charismatic and was not the traditional black community organizer. There was an American electorate that was unhappy with two wars and a declining economy, which made the call for change a nice prospect. People were ready for someone to fundamentally change America. There was a complicit media that did nothing but cheer lead the first African-American candidate that could possibly win. Those of us that bothered to look into what lay past the facade were called racist.

What we saw, and now most Americans are seeing, is a man filled with hate for all things that make us Americans. He is an anti-colonialist, a term few of us were familiar with at the time of the election. They didn’t know that change was socialism and globalism. People were blinded by words and failed to see that Obama wanted to mold his presidency in the form of the man who was the most revered, albeit mistakenly, by American history, Franklin D. Roosevelt. There was only one way to be FDR and that was to create another Great Depression. I’m not sure if the timing of the sub-prime collapse was when he and the Democratic Party planned, but the timing was perfect. That catapulted him into the White House. We know now the collapse of the sub-prime market was foreseen, and possibly planned.
