Obama: ”We built this country together.”

In the beginning there were the 13 original colonies. It was those intrepid people who were the foundations of this country. They came to this country for many reasons. Some came to escape religious persecution, while others came to be free of oppressive governments. For whatever their reason they sometimes formed small communities and worked together to build their small portion of the country. These people later formed local governments which have become the foundations of this country.

In time these colonies decided it would be in their best interested if they formed a partnership to provide for a common defense and create free trade agreements. Many knew that tariffs among the young colonies could be their downfall. For these and other reasons the United States of American was formed.

Obama's Economy

While looking through barackobama.com I found the below chart that he uses to show how all his stimulus and jobs programs have been successful. I added the unemployment rates for those years. The graph can only point out that the landslide of job loss slowed and began to maintain. We must always remember that while looking at unemployment rates it only reflects the number of people who are signed with the unemployment office or receiving unemployment benefits.

Some of those people who returned to the workforce did so by taking lower paying jobs, these are called the underemployed. Some people, like me, are attempting to earn a living for themselves through self employment. Some are living off IRAs.  For any number of reasons, people have dropped out of the workforce.

Obama the Narcissist

Below is an email that circulated in 2009 which was originally written by Dr. Sam Vaknin where he suggest that Barack Obama is a narcissist.  The fake fact site Snopes tries to suggest the article isn't credible while not saying it is false.

I find that I agree with the doctor then, and even more so after three years of an Obama presidency.  Now that we find another election looming on the horizon I feel it's time to revisit this topic. Along with the article I will present a radio interview Dr. Vakin, who holds a Phd. in psychology, did with my local station WBT in Charlotte, N.C. The interview is done by the afternoon talk host Vince Coakly who is racially black, and has caught grief for being a conservative.

 Written by Dr. Sam Vaknin:

Dr. Sam Vaknin is an Israeli psychologist. Interesting view on our president. Dr. Vaknin has written extensively about narcissism.

Dr. Vaknin States "I must confess I was impressed by Obama from the first time I saw him. At first I was excited to see a black candidate. He looked youthful, spoke well, appeared to be confident -- a wholesome presidential package. I was put off soon, not just because of his shallowness but also because there was an air of haughtiness in his demeanor that was unsettling. His posture and his body language were louder than his empty words. Obama's speeches are unlike any political speech we have heard in American history. Never a politician in this land had such quasi "religious" impact on so many people.

A look at Voter ID Laws

The left keeps telling us that passing laws requiring photo ID at the poll is voter disenfranchisement. The informed, and those who don't fear being called racist, know why the Democratic party is against these laws. In many areas they depend on the illegal alien vote in order to get elected. Some in the party of favors often pushes for laws that allow non-Americans to vote.
Only people in this country illegally fear getting an ID
Judges and the Justice Department have either struck down or challenged voter ID laws in states like Wisconsin, Texas, South Carolina, and others. As long as we have a democrat controlling the executive branch states will face strong opposition to such laws.

Since democrats feel such laws prevent Americans from expressing certain rights, I thought we should take a look at laws, which democrats often support and enacted, to see which rights Americans without proper ID lose.

Here is a small list I compiled.

Driver's license
Buy alcohol
Buy cigarettes
Apply for welfare
Apply for food stamps
Cash a check
Purchase a firearm
Buy ammunition
Make any large credit card purchase
Open a bank account
Get a marriage license
The ability to buy certain prescription medicines
Adopt a pet(some states)
Get Medicaid
Return items to a store (Usually if you request cash in return)
Write a personal check
Purchase car insurance
To get on a military base (even a museum on a base)
On occasion to board an airplane
Rent an apartment
Be admitted to a hospital

Atlas Shrugged Pt. 1 The Movie.

It's not often that I take the time to write a movie review. When Atlas Shrugged part 1 came out It didn't show any place close. Last night I finally had the chance to see the movie. I have to admit I had trepidations. I knew they had set the movie in the modern area. I also knew it would be an impossible task to make to reproduce the book on the silver screen.

For decades the people holding the movie rights had waited for the right production company. I, like many, had begun to think we would never see the movie come to light. There were high expectations, and I must admit they were met as far as I'm concerned.

The characters were well developed, as was the plot. I do wonder if a movie viewer who hasn't read the book will understand all the plots. If they didn't, I believe in coming segments they will begin to see why the world was crumbling.

Government Soft on Hackers

t was one of the hottest days of the year and evening temperatures were still sweltering when two FBI agents wearing bulletproof vests under their dark suits climbed the stairs of the Jacob Riis housing complex in New York’s Lower East Side on June 7, 2011. Drenched in sweat, they knocked on the steel door of a sixth-floor unit. It swung open to reveal a man in his late twenties wearing jeans and a white T-shirt.
I’m Hector,” he said.
The agents were suddenly face-to-face with “Sabu,” the computer genius they had stalked for months, a quarry so elusive they hadn’t pinned down his identity and location until just weeks before. The suspected ringleader of the Anonymous offshoot group LulzSec, Hector Xavier Monsegur and his web minions had just completed a month-long reign of terror, hacking the CIA, Fox, Sony and several financial institutions, causing, according to some estimates, billions of dollars in damage around the world.

I know this guy, or at least many like him. Over a decade as an IRC moderator I had to deal with these arrogant idiots. They are usually extremely intelligent, while abiding by a far left mentality. Too often they are teenagers living with their parents. Those like Hector would be living at home if it weren't for government handouts.
